Legacy Comix is proud to announce that writer, artist and letterer Rianne Meyers has joined the talent roster and will release an ashcan, tentatively-titled “A Tiger’s Tail,” with the imprint in Spring 2024.
“Rianne is amazing,” Legacy Comix owner Patrick Hickey Jr. said. “She’s this amazing artist and letterer, who can also write charming and engaging fantasy. We are so excited to have her onboard.”
Although Meyers has worked in other capacities in the industry over the past few years, this marks her debut as the solo talent behind a character and series. It’s a challenge she’s looking forward to.
“Bringing ‘A Tiger’s Tail’ to Legacy Comix — At risk of sounding like a cliché — Has been a dream-come-true for lil’ ol’ me! Finally, finally, I can kick Wolof and Rohan out of my head and put them to work in their own story,” Meyers said. “Can you believe they were taking up space in there without even bothering to pay rent? Yeesh! The nerve of those guys! Can’t wait for everyone to see them!
About Rianne Meyers:
Rianne Meyers was born in Philadelphia, PA and was named after a character in Lethal Weapon.
Make of that what you will.
Rianne has loved art from an early age, ever since she was told that artists don’t have to do math. Not wanting to do math ever again, she refused any other possible career path. Rianne graduated with a BFA in Cartooning from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and since then, has worked as an assistant artist on graphic novels Dragon Hoops by Gene Luen Yang and FLIP by Ngozi Ukazu, and has also worked as a storyboard artist at Kastner for Red Bull’s animated commercials.
Some of Rianne’s greatest influences include Glen Keane, Mike Mignola, Tyson Hesse, Tracy Yardley, and Tess Stone, as well as her friends and family, who have always pushed her to succeed.
Besides cartooning, Rianne enjoys video games, theme parks, and animated films. She is also a diehard Sonic the Hedgehog fan!
