Effective immediately, John Svedese has resigned from his positions of Chief Creative Officer and Co-Owner of Legacy Comix.
Co-Owner Patrick Hickey Jr. will now serve as the sole owner of the comic book imprint.
“I can’t thank John enough for creating the strong visual backbone of this company,” Hickey said. “From lettering our initial books to designing the majority of our videos you see on social media, John’s work will continue to impact this company for years to come. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
As a result of his resignation, physical copies of Svedese’s Athos comic will be removed from the Legacy Comix store, but will remain available digitally. As well, physical copies of Svedese’s holographic cover of Athos will no longer be available at the Legacy Comix convention tables.
Physical copies of Svedese’s and Hickey’s KROOM will also be in limited supply- be sure to grab one while they are still available.
“We are appreciative of John’s work with Legacy and that is why we will still carry his contributions digitally,” Hickey said. “At the same time, we’re excited for the next chapter in our legacy as a comic book publisher.”
Be sure to follow Svedese directly on his various social media platforms to stay informed of what’s next for the creator.
EDIT:
As of Wednesday July 20, John Svedese has asked for all Athos material to be removed from the Legacy website. Legacy Comix has complied with his request and again, wishes him the best in his future endeavors.
