Award-winning writer, journalist and academic leader Patrick Hickey Jr. will continue his Condrey series exclusively at Legacy Comix and will write two more series, The Job and KROOM for the publication.
Heralded by critics and fellow creatives, Hickey’s creator-own IP, Condrey (Illustrated by Kieran X. Quinn) pits a New York City homeless man against the gang that killed his father- and runs the Big Apple.
Hickey knows his journey at Legacy will be similar in the crowded space of the comic book industry, but he’s ready to be a founding father for the brand and help lead them to the type of success he believes they deserve.
“I am thrilled to be a part of the foundation of this company,” Hickey said. “I’ve worked hard over the past 15 years as a writer and an editor and to see Condrey take off the past year has been a wild ride. However, with the ability to continue the series at Legacy- and write two more series, I knew it was time to take my career in a brand new direction, one that offered me the control and allowed me to work alongside people that share the same creative vision.”
With more announcements coming in the next few days as well, Hickey knows he won’t be alone in this journey.
“The surprises we have in store? They will be special,” Hickey said. “We’re all ready to deliver.”
